Are my boards automatically saved?
Yes, your boards are automatically saved, and there is no need to press a save button (in fact, we don’t have one) or hit any keyboard shortcut to save your work.
What's the difference between inviting an editor and public sharing?
The main difference is whether the person you're sharing the board with needs a Make the Dot account to access and also the permission that they need. If it's just for viewing purposes, you can turn on the Public Access toggle, from there, the public board link is automatically copied and you can share that with an external collaborator (e.g. supplier, client) who may not have a Make the Dot account. If your collaborator requires editing access, e.g. to comment, to add new cards, then you should invite them as an editor instead.
Can I use Make the Dot on my iPad?
You can use Make the Dot on any web browser on your iPad, and soon, we’ll have an iOS app for you to use as well. If your operating system is older than iOS 10.3, you may not be able to use Make the Dot on your iPad. Please keep in mind that Make the Dot is not yet optimized for a mobile experience and touchscreens.
What features will you launch next?
We’ve got an exciting roadmap and many new features launching over the next months! If you would like to suggest a feature or vote on ideas from other users, head over to our public request boards. Make sure to keep an eye on our release notes to find out what’s new.
How can I change my email address?
If you're signing in with Google, you can update the address in your Google Workspace account. Once the address is changed in your Google Workspace, log in to Make the Dot via your Google account, the new email address would be reflected on Make the Dot.
If you need to change your email address for an email and password account, please contact us and we will help you do it.
Can Make the Dot employees see the content of my presentations?
We will never access your workspace without your permission, and we will only view a presentation if you require our assistance in debugging an issue. Our current policy is that team members tasked with operating our infrastructure have access to production data for the purpose of reactively resolving issues when users contact us, but are not proactively inspecting production data. We take your data privacy — and your trust in us — seriously.
Is my free subscription really free?
Absolutely. Your free subscription is free forever. Please see our pricing page for details about which features are available under the free account.
How does my paid subscription work?
There are two options for a paid subscription. You can either pay monthly or you can pay yearly. The price per month is USD12 but if you wanted to pay for the whole year then that would cost USD108 equating to USD9 per month.
If you choose to cancel your subscription, then you will still have access until the end of your current subscription period.
