The Style Builder feature will let you create 3D rendered images of your garments based on the sketch
How to select a sketch
You can select a sketch to use in two ways :
From the library, navigate to the sketch folder, which contains all sketches that have either already created a render from, or have created the sketch in Make the Dot from an image. These sketches will be automatically grouped by category. Once you have the sketch you want, click on the add to board button. The sketch will be placed in the top left part of your screen. Then click on the sketch to render button to open the feature
Drag an image from your local folder and drop it onto the board. Then, click on the sketch to render button from the image menu.
Creating your render
After clicking on the sketch to render button, you'll be presented with a choice of available fabrics to choose from. Select the fabric you want, then click on Next: choose color, to choose your color.
If you are creating denim then pls see the Rendering a Denim garment underneath this section.
Note: If you select cotton, then there will be an extra step to choose the effect you would like, if any.
You'll now have three options to choose from. Pantone, Palettes, and Custom.
Within the Pantone tab, you can use the search option to look for a specific Pantone name or code. Click to select.
In the Palettes tab, you'll be shown the default Make the Dot color palette and any color palettes you've previously uploaded. If you wish to add a new color palette, simply drag a .ase file to the upload area or click upload from the same area.
Finally, in the custom tab, you can either type in a Hexcode of your choice or use the color picker to either click on a color or type in the RGB.
After choosing your color, press the Apply Color button (the Make the Dot logo), and Style Builder will then generate two images based on the input criteria. This should take less than 30 seconds.
Rendering a Denim Garment
If you are working with denim, then the process is almost the same. However, after selecting the fabric type, you'll be presented with a list of wash types rather than the color tab. After selecting your wash, then click on 'generate with wash'
